Mentoring
artists, makers and creators · people already some way down their own path · a few places
Generally limited to people already deeper down the path, open to early in the path with motivation. Ideally they are on the verge of, or already in, their own magick register — which I deem akin to being familiar with psychoanalysis and frontier forms of psychology.
Specific artist mentorship — working with artists, music makers, creators.
Long-form counsel for people already doing the work, where the map itself is what gets sharpened.
This is for someone who has been at it a while and has run out of people who can meet them at the level the work has reached. It assumes you have your own practice, your own reading, and your own reasons.
The gate is real and worth stating plainly, so you can rule yourself in or out before we speak. If you are at home in depth psychology — the analytic tradition, and the frontier end of the field where it meets consciousness, ritual and meaning — then we already share a vocabulary and can start at the middle. If you are early but moving, say so and we will talk anyway. Motivation reads clearly and it counts for more than years.
Artists, musicians and makers are the people this lands on most often, and that is who I most want in the chair. The work of making a thing and the work of becoming someone are the same work run at two scales, and the block that stops a record getting finished is usually the same one that stopped everything else. I have my own practice in music and in craft, so this happens between people who both make things.
A session often opens with how you're built — Human Design's strategy and authority, or whichever map you already run on — set beside an older exercise: name twenty people you admire, write down what you admire in each, and keep what repeats. Two readings of the same person, checked against each other before anything gets built on top of them. When what's forming needs a shape in the world — a body of work named, a practice turned bookable, your own systems running instead of someone else's — I build that with you, on contract or beside you, and it's yours outright when it's done.
What it is: a standing conversation on a cadence you choose. What it does: puts another set of eyes on the material you are standing inside, because the part of you doing the looking was built out of it.

The gate is real, and I will state it plainly so you can decide before we speak. If you are used to looking closely at your own mind — therapy, deep psychology, or the more experimental end where that meets meaning and ritual — then we already speak the same language and can start in the middle. If you are earlier than that and moving, say so and we will talk anyway. Effort shows, and it counts for more than years.

Making a thing and becoming someone turn out to be the same job at two sizes, and whatever stops a record getting finished is usually what stopped the rest too. I make music and objects myself, so this happens between two people who both make things.
A session often starts with how you're wired — a design-reading system that maps how you make decisions, or whatever system like that you already trust — set beside an older exercise: name twenty people you admire, write down what you admire in each, and keep what repeats. Two readings of the same person, checked against each other before anything gets built on top of them. When what's forming needs a shape in the world — a body of work named, a practice turned into something people can book, your own systems running instead of someone else's — I build that with you, on contract or alongside you, and it's yours outright when it's done.
What it is: a regular conversation, at whatever spacing suits you. What it does: puts another pair of eyes on the things you are standing inside, which is the reason they stay invisible to you.
One conversation before anything is agreed, so we both find out whether the fit is real.
