Scout for Ready-made websites

I build websites for local businesses before I ask for anything. Scouts find the businesses. If you travel, you pass cafés, shops, studios and workshops every day with no website or an old one. Spot one, send it to me from your phone, and when the business pays for its site, you get a share.

What it pays

10%

Of the first payment a place you spotted makes: the NZ$500 website, or a brand package.

Of everything it pays in the three months after: care plans, hours, brand work.

From the business paying me to you being paid, by PayPal, Monero or cash.

For example: a café you spotted takes its site for NZ$500 and the Tend care plan at NZ$60 a month. You get NZ$50 for the site and NZ$12 for each of the three months after, NZ$86 in all.

How it works

  1. Apply. Two minutes: your name or a handle, how to reach you, where you travel, how you want to be paid. You read the one-page agreement and tick to accept it.
  2. Get your scout code. A word I give you. It stands in for your name on everything you send.
  3. Spot. A business with no website, or a weak one. On your phone, note its name as it appears on the sign, where it is, why it caught your eye, and photos of what anyone can see from the street. Your code goes in the last field.
  4. I take it from there. I choose which places to approach, build the site, and talk to the business.
  5. You are paid. Within 7 days of the business paying me.

What stays with me

The business hears from me alone. Every conversation with it, my name, prices and promises stay with me, so a scout's work ends when the spot is sent.

A spot holds the business and leaves the people out: names, numbers and faces of owners, staff and customers stay off it. The places you send me stay between us.

Which spot counts

The first spot of a place decides its scout. A spot counts for six months: when the place first pays me within six months of the day you spotted it, the share is yours.

Tax

Your share is income, and you report it yourself. I keep a record of every payment to you and send it when you ask.
